Mother Theodore (Theodora) Guerin was born and raised in France. She became a Sister of Providence and eventually was sent to the American frontier on mission. She founded Saint Mary-of-the-Woods Girls finishing school which later became Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.

Handmade in Thailand through a Fair Trade partnership, it's the first ever product to depict Mother Theodore. Each one is made from string and this one depicts the classic image of the only photograph Mother Theodore ever sat for.
